Not so much a story of the events of my life as a child, but a memoir of the thoughts that I harboured in those years.
To check facts before writing would mean putting off the writing, which then might never take place, so I recount the episodes as I remember at the moment of writing, possibly to be revised at a later date following research, review and feedback.
One way or another, memories are what they are, not historical fact; an expression of one's subconscious and character.
